If you haven't already, it's time to buy a domain name. This is the URL that people will use to access your website. You can buy a domain name from a domain registrar like GoDaddy or Namecheap.
I recommend using Namecheap, they offer great customer support and have a user-friendly interface. I will be using Namecheap in this guide.
Tips for choosing a domain name
When choosing a domain name, try to pick something that is easy to remember and spell. You should also try to pick a domain name that is relevant to your website's content.
Here are some tips for choosing a domain name:
- Keep it short and simple
- Avoid using numbers and hyphens
- Use keywords that are relevant to your website's content
- Make sure it's easy to spell and remember
Once you've bought your domain name, you can move on to the next section.
Email Sending Domain
Once you have your domain name, you can set up an email sending domain. This is the domain that your emails will be sent from for example when you send a welcome email to your users.
You can set up an email sending domain by adding the necessary DNS records to your domain registrar.
Here are the steps to set up an email sending domain with Resend:
Login to Resend
Go to the Resend dashboard and login with your credentials.
Add Domain
On the left sidebar, click on Domains
and then click on Add Domain
.
Enter your domain name and click Add Domain
.
You will be provided with the necessary DNS records that you need to add to your domain registrar.
Add DNS Records
Once you've followed the instructions to add the DNS records to your domain registrar, click on Verify DNS Records
in the Resend dashboard.
If the DNS records have been added correctly, you will see a success message.
It could take a few minutes for the DNS records to propagate, so be patient.
